TheStyleGroup's Top 10 Luxury Fashion Magazines list for 2011 picks British Harper's Bazaar as the best of the best luxury fashion magazine. The somewhat mainstream publication continually brings us solid fashion reporting and lush photographic essays. It's American counterpart also makes the list at Number 7. Style Director Elizabeth Saab summed up the Harper's Bazaar picks this way, "Anna Wintour's Vogue may still be the default fashion authority, but Glenda Bailey, Harper's editor-in-chief, (who is about to celebrate her 10th anniversary at the helm) has created a fashion masterpiece! Their editorials give their "it" girl readers great directives—plus those impeccably-styled photo stories.". It's no surprise that both Italian Vogue and American Vogue as well as perrenial mainstay W magazine—with its cover-to-cover revamp and new editor-in-chief Stefano Tonchi, are all on the list. Some newcomers to the list are Condé Nast's new UK entry LOVE magazine. This edgy pub is passionately devoted to the creative process—and it shows! Photographers like Mert and Marcus, Nick Knight, Solve Sundsbo, Paolo Roversi, Patrick Demarchelier and more are contributing to its glorious pages. Rounding out the list are photo-rich fashion mags Genlux magazine, V out of New York, Numéro from Paris and 10 magazine from the UK. Beverly Hills-based Genlux magazine is the only luxury fashion magazine out of the West Coast. The Genlux moniker is derived from Generation+Luxury. From a purely aesthetic viewpoint, V magazine is our favorite. Its pages, headed by editor-in-chief Stephen Gan, are so glossy and full of eye candy— sunglasses are required. Mert and Marcus also shoot for V as well as the marvelous Marios: photographers Mario Sorrenti and Mario Testino.
